Cloud Storage

Connect Dropbox and OneDrive for automatic document sync.

Overview

SiteWhiz integrates with cloud storage providers to automatically sync your project documents:

  • Dropbox - Full folder synchronization
  • OneDrive - Full folder synchronization

Once connected, new files appear automatically in SiteWhiz.

Connecting Cloud Storage

  1. Go to Project Settings > Integrations.

  2. Click Connect next to Dropbox.

  3. Sign in to your Dropbox account.

  4. Grant SiteWhiz permission to access files.

  5. Select the folder to sync.

  6. Click Save.

OneDrive

  1. Go to Project Settings > Integrations.

  2. Click Connect next to OneDrive.

  3. Sign in with your Microsoft account.

  4. Grant SiteWhiz permission to access files.

  5. Select the folder to sync.

Selecting a Sync Folder

Folder Selection

When connecting, you'll choose which folder to sync:

  1. Browse your cloud storage folders.

  2. Select the project folder containing your documents.

  3. Only files in this folder (and subfolders) will sync.

Dedicated Folders

Create a dedicated folder in your cloud storage for each SiteWhiz project. This keeps documents organized and prevents syncing unrelated files.

Folder Structure

Your cloud folder structure is preserved in SiteWhiz:

Project Folder/
├── Drawings/
│ ├── Floor Plans.pdf
│ └── Elevations.pdf
├── Contracts/
│ └── Main Contract.pdf
└── Reports/
    └── Inspection 2024-01.pdf

Multiple Connections

You can connect multiple storage providers:

  • One Dropbox folder AND one OneDrive folder
  • Files from both appear together in Documents
  • Each syncs independently

Team Access

Shared Folders

When using shared cloud folders:

  • All team members see the same documents
  • Changes sync for everyone
  • Permissions are managed in the cloud service

Individual Connections

Each project admin can connect their own cloud storage:

  • Only their connected folder syncs
  • Other team members see the synced files
  • Multiple admins can connect different folders
