Browse and filter your project items.

Items List View


Overview

The Items page shows all items in your project. You can:

  • View items in a list or grouped by container/location
  • Filter by type, status, or assignee
  • Sort by date or location
  • Search through item titles and descriptions
  • Open item details in a side panel

Admin App

  1. Select a project from the sidebar.

  2. Click Items in the project navigation.

  3. The items list shows all items for the selected project.

Mobile App

  1. Open the SiteWhiz app.

  2. Select your project using the project selector.

  3. Tap Items in the bottom navigation bar.


The Items List

List View

Items are displayed in a list with key information:

Column Description
Type Icon indicating Action, Decision, Issue, or Question
Title Brief description of the item
Status Current state (Open, In Progress, Closed)
Assignee Team member responsible
Due Date Deadline (if set)
Evidence Photo/document attachment indicator

Grouped View

Switch between viewing modes:

  • Time-based - Items grouped by when they were created
  • Container-based - Items grouped by location or container

Filtering Items

By Type

Filter to show only specific item types:

  1. Click the Filter button (funnel icon).

  2. Select the types you want to see:

  3. Action - Tasks to complete
  4. Decision - Choices to make
  5. Issue - Problems to resolve
  6. Question - Information requests

  7. Click Apply to filter the list.

By Status

Filter by item status:

  • Open - Items not yet started
  • In Progress - Items being worked on
  • Closed - Completed items

By Assignee

Filter to see items assigned to specific team members:

  1. Click the Assignee filter.

  2. Select one or more team members.

  3. The list shows only items assigned to those people.


Sorting Items

Change the order items appear:

  1. Click the Sort dropdown.

  2. Choose your preferred sort order:

  3. Newest First - Most recently created at top
  4. Oldest First - Oldest items at top
  5. Due Date - Upcoming deadlines first
  6. Priority - High priority items first

Searching Items

Find specific items by searching:

  1. Click the Search field (or magnifying glass icon).

  2. Type your search terms.

  3. The list filters to show matching items.

Search looks through:

  • Item titles
  • Item descriptions
  • Item IDs

Search Tips

Use specific keywords from the item content. For example, search "leakage" to find all items mentioning leaks.


Opening Item Details

Admin App

  1. Click on any item in the list.

  2. A detail panel opens on the right side.

  3. View full item information including:

  4. Complete description
  5. Attached evidence (photos, documents)
  6. Activity history
  7. Related items

Mobile App

  1. Tap on any item in the list.

  2. The item detail page opens full-screen.

  3. Swipe or use arrows to navigate between items.


Item Status Indicators

Visual indicators show item state at a glance:

Indicator Meaning
Open - Not started
In Progress - Being worked on
Closed - Completed
Overdue - Past due date
Has attachments
Has location on plan

Bulk Operations

Select multiple items for batch actions:

Admin App

  1. Click the checkbox next to items you want to select.

  2. Or click Select All to select all visible items.

  3. Choose an action from the toolbar:

  4. Change Status - Update status of all selected
  5. Assign - Assign to a team member
  6. Export - Generate a report
  7. Delete - Remove selected items

Offline Access (Mobile)

Items are available offline on mobile:

  • Previously viewed items remain accessible
  • New items are saved locally
  • Changes sync automatically when connected

Offline Indicator

A banner shows when you're offline and have unsynced changes.


Troubleshooting

Items Not Loading

If items don't appear:

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Check you have a project selected
  3. Verify your internet connection
  4. Clear filters to show all items

Search Returns No Results

If search doesn't find expected items:

  1. Try fewer, more general keywords
  2. Check for typos in your search
  3. Clear filters that might be hiding results
  4. Verify the item exists in the current project
